What insurances do you take?

We do not accept any insurances at this time. All visits will be paid for by the patient. We will give you a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company. At this time we cannot accept any Medicare patients.

Is there a deposit to make a New Patient appointment?

Yes. We require a $200 deposit on either VISA, MasterCard, or Discover to hold your appointment and $100 for Medicare patients. This is to ensure that you keep your appointment. If you need to cancel your New Patient appointment we will refund the deposit minus a $25 service charge. We do ask you to give us at least a weeks notice of cancellation. If you need to cancel less than a week from your appointment we keep the whole deposit.

How does the doctor treat?

When you come in, a customized regimen will be made for you. Every patient's case is unique. Treatments may include: Antibiotic therapy, natural supplementation, Intravenous medications, and injections.

What do you test for? Do I have to do a lot of testing?

The amount of bloodwork depends on each patient. If you have had bloodwork done by previous doctors that may reduce the amount of bloodwork the doctor orders. This is by a case by case basis.

How much does testing usually cost?

Labwork that is drawn at the office that goes through traditional labs will be billed to insurance. The only laboratory that we use that you would pay out of pocket is Igenex. Prices for this lab usually start at $200 and can go up depending on how many different tests are performed. Igenex accepts checks and any major credit cards.

What do I need to bring to my visit?

Please bring all forms completed (Patient information, Medication Record, History/Physical, Missed Appointment Agreement, Lyme Symptom Checklist), picture ID, Insurance card, and any bloodwork or testing you would feel is pertinant to the visit. Please make sure to include your pharmacy on the Medication Record Sheet. We send over all prescriptions over the computer so this information is very important.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the visit?

Please compile any records before coming into the visit. We will not contact other doctors to get their records. Please make sure all forms are filled out prior to appointment. A chronological timeline for symptoms, prior treatments, etc. would be helpful for Dr. Eiras to review.

Do I need to bring in copies of my records for the doctor to keep in my file?

Our practice has electronic records. Please do not bring copies for the doctor to keep. All records that the doctor feels are pertinant will be scanned into your electronic file and the originals will be given back to you.

Where do I get the New Patient Packet?

You can print the forms or you can come in 15-20 minutes before your visit to fill them out.

How often do I have to see the doctor?

Each person's case is different and the frequency of appointments may vary. Usually patients will be seen monthly. As your health improves the time in between your appointments will change. This is case by case.

If the doctor available to speak on the phone?

Unfortunatly the doctor does not take phone calls. All questions/concerns will go through the office staff and relayed to the doctor. A member of the office staff will contact you with an answer after the doctor has reviewed the message.

Do you have a payment plan or sliding scale?

We do not have a payment plan or sliding scale. All fees MUST be paid at the time of the visit. If you do not have the funds available at the time of the visit we will ask you to reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Do you know any doctors in the area?

We do not do doctor referrals but you may email medicalinfo@tbdalliance.org and they will be able to place you with a doctor who practices in your area.

What if I don't have time to complete the New Patient Packet before my appointment?

If you do not complete your packet before coming in we ask you to come in 15-30 minutes before your scheduled time so you can fill it out.

What if I don't have time to compile all my records I want the doctor to review?

Not having all records with you at time of visit may increase testing the doctor will have to order.

Will my doctor coordinate care with specialists?

The doctor can give you suggestions for specialists, but you will have to contact them on your own. Dr. Eiras does not do referrals. If you need a referral to see a specific doctor you will have to see your PCP and get it through them.

Can the doctor by my primary care physician?

The doctor can be your PCP only if you live in the area. If you live out of state, you would need to have a local PCP to take care of any problems that may come up in between visits.

Does Dr. Eiras admit to any hospitals?

Dr. Eiras is an affiliate member at Jersey Shore but she does not have admitting privledges.

What are the fees for the first visit? For follow up visits?

The first visit starts at $350 and can be more depending on time and complexity of your case. Also, keep in mind there may be a fee for Igenex testing, which is on average $200 payable to Igenex. Follow up visits range between $130-205 depending if blood is drawn. Injections and IVs would be an additional cost.

Does the doctor sell supplements at the office?


Yes, supplements are available for purchase at the office. The doctor may suggest that you take supplements. You are not obligated to purchase those supplements here but the option is available.
